As many of you know a week doesn’t go by in my house without Taco Tuesday.  Although I love throwing together a delicious veggie taco I also like to mix it up sometimes with a veggie taco salad.  Prior to our clean eating days this meant topping my salad with Nacho Cheese Doritos which simply doesn’t work in a clean eating lifestyle.  Enter in the super delicious Tortilla Chips!  These are so freaking yummy I could eat a whole batch!  And because they are made with Ezekiel Sprouted Grains Organic Tortillas you also get a complete protein snack!


  • 1 package Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Organic Tortillas ( twelve tortilla shells)
  • 4 oz organic shredded Parmesan cheese
  • garlic powder
  • ground flaxseed and/or chia seed
  • EVOOl (use a mister or spray bottle)


1.  Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

2.  Start by cutting your tortilla shells in little triangles.  I get 8 triangles per shell.

3.  Lay your triangles out on a baking tray. (I line mine with non stick foil for easy clean up!)

4.  Lightly spray your triangles with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

5.  Sprinkle your triangles with some garlic salt, ground flaxseed and/or chia seed. (I have a spice jar with this combination already mixed up.  My family is a lover of garlic and we put a flax/chia mix on most our foods.  So this spice jar gets lots of use in our house!)

6.  Sprinkle some Organic Shredded Parmesan Cheese on your triangles.  (I used both shredded and grated Parmesan cheese on my tortillas.)

7.  Place in the oven for about 10-12 minutes.  You will need to keep a close eye on them for the last few minutes as they can go from almost done to burnt very quickly!

8.  Once your tortilla chips are done remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for about 5 minutes.  They crisp up wonderfully after cooling down.

This is a great snack for kids!  If you have a picky eater or one like mine who is not fond of meat then this treat provides a great protein alternative!  These are also great to dip in homemade guacamole and yogurt cheese (see recipes here and here).
